Hi.
I succesfully used the standard serial sync cable , with a null modem cable
and 2 gender changers.... (see drawing)

cable from serial device -----------------------I
As this is for my gps , the next thing to do was cut up the cables and
shorten
it a bit, but it worked fine with normal components , at normal prices.
(not paying 40 euros for compaq serial cable)
