[iPAQ] iPaq 3835 - time of day, SD slot

would anyone have any idea what causes the time to speed up on my
iPaq? +36 minutes in one day while it was just sitting there doing
nothing!

kernel: 2.4.18-rmk3
familiar: v0.52

ipkg updated and installed and install-complete'd.

also, how can i read/write to the SD slot?
