[iPAQ] linux on ipaq 3650

I have a ipaq 3650 that has a old ver. of linux on it.
Im try to update the ver. I set it up on hyper terminal, i see all the boot info. some how a pass word was set and i dont remember what it is.

IS there any way to bypass or rest set password?
