I know this subject was already covered on the linux@handhelds.org-list a
few months ago, but I didn't quite get the answer.. As it turns out I ran
into the problem when trying to do this:
-- This step is dangerous: make sure you perform it exactly correctly. At the 'boot>' prompt, type 'load bootldr', then start an xmodem download of the file bootldr-0000-2.9.5. A bootldr tarball corresponding exactly to these boot loader bits is available. -- Ok, it loads fine for a while and then I get the TIMEOUT ERROR. There was a solution on the linux list and this is how I understood it should work: 1. boot> load bootldr 2. ctrl-a s <xmodem> <select bootldr-0000-2.9.5> 3. Let it transfer for a while and stop when you get NAK's (I don't recall seeing any NAK's. Anyone have more info on this?) 4. boot> load bootldr 5. ctrl-a z s <cr> <cr>. What's this do? I'm using minicom as the terminal. -AReceived on Sat Oct 14 03:30:24 2000
