Hi,
I am trying to turn on /proc/sys/net/irda and have run into a problem.
I've changed my .config and re-compiled the kernel to enable
CONFIG_PROC_FS and CONFIG_SYSCTL, so /proc/sys/net is showing up
with 802, core, ethernet, ipv4 and unix showing up, but no irda.
Now, I've traced in net/irda what function is responsible for setting up
the irda
proc/sys file system. I believe the responsible function is irda_init().
irda_init()
used to be called in af_irda.c (version 1.4), but was removed in version
1.5. The function
that is supposed to call irda_init() is init_proto_init(). The same is
true for irda_proto_cleanup()
and irda_cleanup().
Was this change intentional? I looked in our linux-2.4.0-5.0 kernel we
use on x86 and init_irda()
is there, so was this change something you picked up on the integration of
the 2.4 kernel?
Regards,
Marcus Smith
