the spec for the base hardware itself, and pointers to the specs
of lots of the chips ues in the iPAQ, processor chip, etc.

The specs for building expansion pack hardware is on a CD right now.
(mechanical specs, electrical specs, etc.) I've been in touch with the
engineering manager, and he's arranging to put the specs up on the Web:
I don't know how long this will take, but probably not too long.
