I think that it is important to make a detailed and updated tutorial to
have a dual-boot iPAQ using CF memory cards (or microdrives). The
existent information is confuse and distributed. I am buying a 256 MB CF
card to make it and I still have some questions:

1- I don't have an USB CF memory card reader and I supose that the only
USB reader supported by linux is the Zmate. How can I make the 2
partitions and format using ext2 on CF card ? Is it necessary install
familiar linux on the flash ROM only to make these partitions and then
restore the original PocketPC on it ?

2- Can I use Cyace to load linux kernel ? I only found binaries for MIPS
processors. Is it works ? Is the project still active ? I think that it
is vital to make a linux bootloader that runs on PocketPC, like loadlin
for DOS/Winblows. It can save many iPAQs to become bricked ...

I love linux and I would love a cheaper iPAQ (without the M$ tax) with
linux installed by Compaq but with dual boot approach we will have the
best of the two worlds. In my country (Brazil) we don't have the Zaurus
alternative. The only PDAs that we find easily on brazilian market are
Palms, iPAQs and HP Jornadas and even between linuxers it is very
difficult to find a linux iPAQ user.
