There is no /boot/params file. I actually looked for that.

I created one, but I wasn't sure what I should add. I tried just adding
"noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock1 init=/linuxrc" and rebooted, but I'm still
getting the device is busy error.

Should it be
set linuxargs "noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock1 init=/linuxrc"?
linuxargs="noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock1 init=/linuxrc"?
or some other setting?

Sorry for being dense. It's late, and I'm going to bed now.
