the adapter delivered with the power supplies can be opened (screws).

7 - rxd
8 - txd
9 - dtr
10 - gnd
11 - dsr
12 - rts
13 - cts
14 - ring
rx, tx and gnd is enough if you don't need modem/hardware flow control.
