The iPAQ is wired the wrong way round to talk to a modem/router etc.
The short answer: put a null modem adapter or cable between the ipaq and
the device.
Now for the science bit:
A PC is an RS232 Data Terminal (DTE), a modem/router etc. is a data
communication device (DCE). To make two DCE or DTE devices talk, you
need a null modem cable. It's exactly the opposite problem to connect
two PC RS232 ports, but, it has the same solution.
I think that's right anyway?
