I finally have a working Linux iPaq using a serial connection and I am
pleased, EXCEPT....
When I try to connect using hyperterminal, I am continually bombarded with
the following message:
h3600_apm_get_power_status: unable to access battery information
I have installed the following:
2.4.17 kernel
apmd_3.0final-1-fam2_arm.ipk
h3600-utils_0.4-fam2_arm.ipk
familiar-postinst_0.3_arm.ipk
and qpe 1.4.0-1 (
qpe-light-and-power_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-pics_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk,
qpe-qcop_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-addressbook_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-qipkg_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-appearance_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-rotation_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-base_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-settings-rotation_1.3.1-1_arm.ipk
qpe-batteryapplet_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-settings_1.3.1-4_arm.ipk
qpe-calculator_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-sounds_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-clockapplet_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-spreadsheet_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-datebook_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-sysinfo_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-handwriting_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-taskbar_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qpe-i18n-en_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qt-embedded-rotation_2.3.2-1_arm.ipk
qpe-keyboard_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
qt-embedded_2.3.2-12_arm.ipk )
Things looked great until I attempted to install the
qpe-batteryapplet_1.4.0-1_arm.ipk
following this, the message began appearing.
I've read that this is because I am missing some modules or ipkgs.
That's all well and good, but...
WHICH MODULES / IPKGS AM I MISSING??????
Please help.
