I just got my serial cable in today and installed linux. I wanted to
let the group know of the problems so that if anyone else has them,
they will understand what is going on. Everyone has done an amazing
job on things so far. It is truly incredible.

X will not start by itself, it gives the following information
/etc/rc3.d/S40xdemo: line 46: 80 Segmentation fault ./Xfbdev -
screen 240
x320 -screen 320x240 +xinerama
./xrdb: Connection refused
./xrdb: Can't open display 'unix:0'
./xsetroot: unable to open display 'unix:0'
./twm: unable to open display "unix:0"

If I try to start x from the console, it works with no problem.

Another problem is that if I halt the machine, it says it powers down
but it just display horizontal lines on the screen and will not boot,
reboot, power off, or power on. The only fix is to disconnect the
battery (via the switch) and then power it on. Then it works without a
problem.

It doesn't use any of the files in /mnt/ramfs/etc/rc* for bootup.
