[iPAQ] 0.17beta issues

I've seen similar errors with programs that worked with v0.16:

Also, I have seen some programs, (gnome mahjongg for one), which were
displaying correctly under previous versions and now display with
incorrect colors, (cross-display is sufficient to test this behavior).
