1- Is sized to fit on a unit with an expansion pack and remains on the
unit even when operated.
2- Protects the screen, yet allows easy access to screen ( i.e. lid )
3- Has an area for 3 or 4 credit cards and money
4- Has a belt clip/loop or provides some way to make mountable somewhere"
So far the best case I have found for the iPAQ, and which appears to meet
Sven's request, is the SlipperPAQ from E&B Cases:
http://www.ebcases.com/store/scripts/store.exe/detail?66.
That link references the version without a belt clip, but you can also get
the same case with a belt clip. One problem with belt clips is that you
can't lay the case flat on a desk and write, since the stud acts as a
fulcrum. E&B indicates that they have kept the fulcrum to a minimum, but
even so they indicate that writing towards the top of the screen would cause
the case to rock.
One of my current thoughts is to get the clipless slipper for protection,
and to carry the kit in a small, weatherproof, belt/shoulder pouch, such as
the Roots model I picked up last summer.
