I get to it from handhelds.org following the familiar and 0.5.1 links
(several in a row). I never saw the directions you point to before
(lucky for me I guess). I remembered it from 0.40 and knew I had seen
it in 0.5.1.

I just figured out where those are linked. They are the ones linked
from handhelds.org under the bootloader install. I never even looked at
them since I was always thinking about installing familiar, which
starts out telling you how to install the bootloader.
