[iPAQ] Returning to Linux on my Ipaq

I'm about to load Linux back on my Ipaq, but I've been away from this for a
while. Needless to say, I'm floundering about a bit with all the new
information.

I've got a few questions I was hoping you could help me with.

Dual Boots: There are still a little bit of WinCEing that I have to do. I'm
very intrigued by the hints about dual booting I found on the handhelds home
page, but I didn't find any useable (at least by me) information on how to
set it up.

I've got a 256 meg CF that I'd like to use to hold either the Linux or the
WinCE OS. But what steps do I need to do to get this working? For example,
how should I format/partition the CF? Where do I get the .gz, initd and
rootfs files? Also, what sort of performance hit can I expect? I'm using a
3600, but I've got one with the 32 MB flash. Is this even worth trying, or
will it be an exercise in frustration?

Second, I alwayse liked qpe. Now there's both Qtopia and Opie. What are the
differences between them? Does either have a useable sync system yet? Are
apps interchangeable between them (for example, as far as I can tell Qtopia
has Nethack, but Opie doesn't. And that may be the deciding factor right
there.)

Anyway, thanks in advance for all your help and opinions.
