The barcode scanner code [which I haven't developed much of an app
around, but the driver is pretty thorough] should be linked off of the
handhelds.org site; it should work on any linux (I tested it under x86
linux as well as early familiar when writing it.)

I still don't have it integrated into thokbook or any other more real
apps; the driver was written for the Symbol "in-hand scan" (CF
scanner, but it's really just a serial port with a 923 on the far end)
but should work with other Symbol serial devices.
