Thanks! That's great to know. I'd gladly cut the bandwidth in order
to get a stable display. Browsing web pages through a kaleidoscope
isn't too much fun. :-)
However, when I went to test "iwconfig <if> rate", I discovered that I
can't reproduce the problem any more. Two things happened since I last
saw the problem: (1) I did an "ipkg upgrade" from familiar-unstable
(although I had previously already upgraded to the latest kernel and
modules), and the people running wireless at my work moved the access
points. So either something got fixed in terms of how Familiar
configures the card, or I'm getting worse reception now and therefore
the card is falling back to a slower connection.
