You can either:

1. Use "load root" from the bootloader and send the complete task-bootstrap-2.4.17-rmk4-hh5.jffs image. This will completely rewrite your iPAQ, removing anything you already have installed.

2. Set your /etc/ipkg.conf file to point to the lorien.handhelds.org/pub/linux/feeds/2.4.17 directory and use "ipkg update", "ipkg install task-boostratp-2.4.17-rmk4" to install the upgraded task-bootstrap files. This will not replace your current files, leaving you with two kernels and two sets of kernel modules. It will set the default kernel to be the latest version.

        hi

i saw the current status of H3800 iPAQ, i am currently using that model. i have installed the older version of task-bootstrap-2.4.16-rmk1-hh1.jffs2, i would like to install the newer version(task-bootstrap-2.4.17-rmk4-hh5.jffs2) for better results.
        my questions are:
        1. is there a need to remove the older version before i install the newer version?
        2. if there is a need, how do i remove the whole package or do i have to remove it individually?
        3. how do i install the newer version because i read through the instruction guide, i could not find where the installation for the bootstrap come in. is it like normal procedural, transfer the package to the iPAQ than ipkg install ....

thanks any help would be very much appreciated.
