Which instructions did you follow? What are the symptoms of dead? Does the amber LED come on at all when you plug in the AC adapter? If you turn it off with the sliding power switch, leave it off for awhile, and turn it back on does anything happen? If you press and hold the center of the joypad, push the reset, wait a second, and release the joypad does anything happen?
