Yes, an ipaq theme would be great. That's why I'm focusing on the icewm.
But themes are not enough.

In the general case, the gtk widgets use a non-themeable set of spacings
for things for spacing within the file selection dialog, etc. I've gone
through the gtk 1.3.1 lib and cut the default sizings for widgets down
by a lot by draconian cuts in the default border sizes, by halving the
default scrollbar size, etc.

Attached is a screenshot of the slightly revised fileselection widget,
which under a squeezed window manager, fits nicely into 320x200. My
goal is to build a "drop in replacement" gtk lib that recognises when it
is being displayed on a small device and resizes it's widgets
appropriately....

My first hack at this exposed other problems in how default fonts are
chosen in gtk, widget/font sizing in general is problematic. I look
forward very much to the new font extensions.

...

I don't much see the point in a titlebar at all on such a small device,
I'd like most everything to start maximized; and to merely have a single
taskbar at the bottom (overlayable with a on screen keyboard) - and to
have even that scroll away when not in use.
