I get some strange behavior then I boot the 2-47 images....
During bootup before X start up I am asked for a logon on the console...
Here is what I get:
....start.....
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,mode=0622)
hostname: can't open `/etc/hostname'
SKIFF: skipping hwclock adjustment
SKIFF: hwclock --adjust --utc
SKIFF: hwclock --hctosys --utc
Local time: Wed Dec 31 19:00:05 EST 1969
Cleaning: /tmp /var/lock /var/run.
Initializing random number generator... done.
Recovering nvi editor sessions... done.
INIT: Entering runlevel: 3
Starting inetd: inetd.
Starting portmap: portmap.
login[82]: ILLEGAL ROOT LOGIN on `console'
Password:
....end.....
I have to CTRL-D to get past it....Not sure what's going on...
Lets see...
in /etc/rc3.d..
S19nscd a symlink to ../init.d/nscd ../init.d/nscd doesn't exist
S20logoutd a symlink to ../init.d/logoutd that file will first try to parse
/etc/parttime to see if it doesn't have any # (comments) in it.../etc/parttime
doesn't exist...So I guess it exists...
S20netbase a symlink to ../init.d/netbase ../init.d/netbase doesn't exist
S30netsrd_misc a symlink to ../init.d/netstd_misc ../init.d/netstd_misc doesn't
exist
S40xdemo a symlink to ../init.d/xdemo ahhh....there is a 'login root' near the
top of it...I removed it and it seems to work for me....
