Yes I have seen the same thing playing an mp3 over an nfs share. However I
didn't notice any relationship with key-presses or typing at the command
line.

I says something about lost interrupts..

Subject: [iPAQ] interrupt weirdnesses - networking + serial

On every release of the ipaq linux code thus far (including today's
v0.16), I've noticed a problem in handling large amounts of data
transfer when running the ne2000 driver. Try ftping a large file into
your /usr/local (I'm using the famed DeCSS descramble.mp3), while logged
into the serial port. Then type. You will get at least 1 input overrun,
and the serial connection will appear to hang for a long period of time
before it recognises your typing again... I figure this has something to
do with the write to flash going on at the same time.
