Of course, if anyone suggests what may be a good program, I'll pull it
down if it interests me as well.
But, even without the Debian setup, you can get binaries out of
Debian-arm quite easily. Just do the following:
1) Download the .deb file of interest from:
ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/stable/main/binary-arm/
or better yet, from a closer/faster mirror.
2) Use "alien --to-tgz" to convert the .deb to a tar file.
http://kitenet.net/programs/alien/
3) Untar the file and grab the binary of interest
