That doesn't seem to be the case. If I read the license rightly the SDK
simply says that you can't link their library (ie create a derivative work)
with GPL, BSD, etc code.

Which in a sense is what the GPL says about linking MS code, except that MS
is a monopolist.

Firstly I'd say you want to emulate an existing class driver to avoid having
to write any kind of windows driver. You can be a scsi disk, you can be a
cable modem - take your pick 8)

Secondly we are already using an id for the sa1100_usb net stuff, and that
shouldnt be a problem.
