[iPAQ] h3850 and compaq softpaq restoration

Hi,

My wince.gz image is screwed for some reason (asset.gz is fine) and I
need to get pocketpc back on my ipaq for work. Can I use the softpaq
for pocketpc 2002 that is on the compaq site to do this like the 3600
series as described on the wiki pages ?

If no-one has done this, a few questions:

Will the format of the image be the same (i.e. wiping off the first few
bytes etc)

How does the asset partition affect the restoration ? Is there a danger
I could overwrite it ?

Will the splitting of the ROM image be the same as the softpaqs for the
h3600 series ?

Thanks for the help, but there are apps I have to use for work. Maybe
once the zaurus has been officially released I will have a replacement
for them.
