Hi Andrew,
I've yet to try and put Linux on my new iPAQ 3850, but want to thank you
for the effort anyway. Even though it feels slow waiting for the
changes, in retrospect a lot has happened in a short time.
Anyway, be prepared for my newbie mails in the next week or so ;-)).
Thanx
reinier

Subject: Linux on 3800
The latest 2.4.17-rmk4-hh2 kernel modules in
ftp://lorien.handhelds.org/pub/linux/feeds/2.4.17 now contain battery
charging support for the 3800. It still needs work, but it is a start.
Please be advised that your iPAQ will NOT charge when it has been
suspended (watch for the flashing yellow or solid yellow light; no
light, no charging).
A few other changes:
- Asset retrieval now works (should allow X to start up correctly
without modifications)
- You can read the light sensor (it's a side effect of getting
battery charging to work)
- A number of bug fixes and checks.
Next on the list
- Intelligent battery monitoring (I have not yet implemented the apm
interface)
- Audio
- IR
- SD slot
