I have big troubles with a H3150 regarding kernel
2.4.16 and jffs2, these problems ocurr on a 16 Mb Ram
machine and someone on irc tought the best idea is to
share it with you all. The problem basically is this,
whenever I try to write any file on the jffs2 system
the deflatin (compressing) rutine asks for memory 9or
seems to) and isn't given so the write fails with
deveral deflateInit errors, now, if the write is big
enougth the kernel starts killing processes on the
machine (non vital ones like X, xstroke, sshd, bash,
pppd, etc etc) wich causes the machine to go to it's
knees.... also from a cat /proc/meminfo you cna see
there is a lot of mem asigned to cache by the
kernel..... since jffs2 hasn't changed much from 2.4.7
but the memory manager from the kernel sure has
changed a lot the culpright might seem to be the
kernel's mem manager, any ideas, any help? i woudl
apreciate it, this has forbidden me from installign
further apps on the ipaq or using it rationally,

Btw. the problem seems to arise after a while of
havign the ipaq turend on and running 9a while after
reset) I haven't yet linked this error to any
aprticular program....

Lars.
