I have kernel 2.4.7 and a Ipaq 3760
These are my partitions:

boot> partition show
argv[1]=partition
npartitions=00000005
bootldr
  base: 00000000
  size: 00040000
 flags: 00000002
params
  base: 00040000
  size: 00040000
 flags: 00000000
kernel
  base: 00080000
  size: 000C0000
 flags: 00000000
u
  base: 00140000
  size: 00B40000
 flags: 00000000
root
  base: 00C80000
  size: 01380000
 flags: 00000018

I use partition 'u' with a ext2 filesystem.
If I mount /dev/mtdblock/3 (partition u), often, the system hangs for 20/30
seconds. I think the problem occurs when the processes jffs2_gcd_mtd1 or
mtdblockd do a sync
After this the system works fine until the next sync an so on (after 1/2
minutes)

With kernel 2.4.6 I don't have this problem

Can you help me?

Bye
