[iPAQ] Help

I am trying to restore my Ipaq back to Windows CE using a Windows 2000 pc.

I have one image win_ce_image.gz.

I can unpack this but I am unsure how to make this into 4 files.
Also, where do I run this dd command? On the iPAQ or pc?
