It should be noted that one of iPAQ's strengths is that it can interface
over IR, USB, WLAN, Bluetooth or even serial port as required, provided
sufficient security for said connections ofcourse. Wouldn't be much use if
anybody could send a message to be signed over IR to the device ;) Another
related issue mentioned was the risk of stolen devices. This is why
secondary authenticiation is critical, and with iPAQ relatively easily
effected through the touchpad. Altough I really wish in some future time
and place hand-held devices start to come with some form of biometric ID
as default, or even available. I wonder if cell-phone users or even
vendors realize the difference this would make.
