For me, this would depend on what would change if it were an officially supported version. If it meant that it would increase the speed of development, i.e. more people being paid to just work on Familiar. Then I'd have to say Yes. But if it meant that less of the stuff we're developing gets into Familiar, then I'd say No.

It seems to me that Zarus, Yopy( I think it's out), and Agenda being already out, we are really behind, when it comes to a fully comercial product. Many of the PCMCIA cards(network, and Wireless) still have some bugs. Then the decision has to be made on a graphical. The standard X Windows WM that we have been using, would not work in a comercial environment. It's not userfriendly enough for J. Q. Citizen. We could go to QPE, but then we would be compared to the Zarus.

Then again, would the Comercial version only be for specific Applications, or would it be for a production iPaq.

I think what I'm really trying to say is, I would like more information on what would happen with an official commercial product.
