I am new to the list, but I browsed as many archives as I could find
(very helpful). I am trying to obtain an iPAQ currently. This has
become very complicated because of the steps involved: 1) convince my
wife this is not "just a geek toy" and really will help me organize my
life. 2) convince myself I really want to spend $500+ on this "geek
toy" 3) Find one for sale!!!
I'm stuck on step three, but that isn't relevent.
Thanks to the list archives I now know that there really is just one
version released regardless of whether its labeled 3630 or 3650. What I
noticed is that there is a version that has dark grey buttons and cursor
and one with silver. Also the grey-buttoned model has a different top
with smaller LEDs etc. What is this new mystery model?
Here is a link to model with grey buttons (big picture). It says it is
a H3650.

Compare this model to that on compacts website...see, its different!
Its even different than the model in the "Available soon" animated gif.
I'm a software engineer, but my passion lies in embedded systems (figure
that out). I am VERY interested in this project, and would like to have
a discussion about directions for the software. Are there plans for a
Pocket window manager? Is GTK a valid choice for a widget set? Maybe a
flat GTK theme (3D seems to have been deemed inappropriate for PDAs to
conserve space)? Who is working on gnome synchronization (Bonobo)? I
really would like to talk to Gnucash in the near future(thats really
nice if you havn't seen it). If this is the right list for that, lets
hear it! If not, point me to the correct list!
Even further out there: QNX's Neutrino RTOS has a StrongARM target,
anyone gone there yet? Hmm....

I sound ambitious, but I'm really just brainstorming!
