Actually, 44.1 KHz 16 bit is supported by the audio driver, but only in stereo.
The UDA1341 Audio Codec is stereo only, no native mono support, and last I
checked the driver doesn't have mono to stereo conversion builtin, and just
returns an error on an attempt to set mono.
