OK, I finally broke down and bought an iPAQ (last one, maybe even only one at
local Best Buy). I would dearly love to start doing to development for it,
but
I really need day to day PIM functions also. How close are we to being
able to
plug a 128MB+ CF or IBM Microdrive into the CF sleeve, install Linux on the CF
device and be able to switch back and forth reasonably easily from WinCE to
Linux?
A second question: How do large flash memory cards compare to the IBM
Microdrives
in term of power usage? The space for MP3s would be fun, but cutting my
battery
life to an hour or less would not be. But then, maybe the processor usage
from
processing the MP3s is going to kill the battery life anyway?
