[iPAQ] ipaq/linux direct irda connection ???

i just got a sample ipaq and would like to try a connection to linux.

the only references i have found are for wince 2.11 devices. there you just
configure a direct connection with the irda device on the handheld and irda/ppp on
the linux side.

bit wince 3.0/ipaq don´t seem to have the irda device choice in the pc connections
tab.

is there a way to get a direct irda connection ?
