GPS (pccard/pcmcia OR CF) experiences requested

I specifically want both GOOD and BAD experiences so I know what worked
for others and what to stay away from.

I am in the process of getting a GPS card, and wanted to know if others
have had any good/bad experiences with a particular one. I have an ipaq
with pccard sleeve so either pccard or CF is acceptable.

My requirements for one is that it work well in linux and CE (I run
both) fast aquisition time is essential (I dont want to wait 3 minutes
to get a lock on my position). Power usage is somewhat important but
not super critical.

I would prefer that it register as a serial port spewing NMEA data
(garmin is ok, but not as prefered). so gpsd or whatever can talk to
it. This is more of a function with the card itself, rather than the
driver. I guess I am saying that it should use the serial driver and
not some random driver - although as long as its a stable driver that
should be ok.

I am also interested in real life experiences with it (ie does it drop
data when in a building, car, etc without an antenna).

Thanks
