Re: hx4700 battery lock switch

Hi,

I had the same problem some time ago, and it took me a while to
understand that the problems I were experiencing (buttons not working,
etc) were due to that damn little plastic tooth..

I solved the problem without modifying anything on the board as you
suggest: I simply glued a bit of plastic (anything small enough to fit
in the small hole the switch is in, but big enough to keep the switch
pressed. I used a 2mm long section of electric cable) to a 2-3cm long
piece of black insulating tape, and put the tape to keep the switch pressed.

This way the repair is almost invisible (only a 5mm long piece of tape
is visible right over the reset switch), and everything is working.. and
I didn't have to open the hx4700 nor to solder anything.

I hope my solution will be helpful, let me know if it is not clear, I
could send a picture.
