sound question

Hello,

Is the sound module for the IPAQ using oss ?

Does it support alsa ?

I am a little confused. On doing an 'lsmod' I only see oss modules.

Also after using the latest starterkit, sound wasn't working . looking
at the package manager I installed all the alsa-* modules . that still
didn't get sound to work . I then tried to 'modprobe snd-pcm-oss' and
that fixed everything and I got the sceen clicks and the opie-media
player2 to play an mp3 file.

I am trying to get the videolan player to work with the IPAQ and so far
I have managed to get the video to work but for sound I have only the
oss module built in which at present isn't working as expected. Videolan
however does have an alsa module which I need to rebuild, so before I
get to that I would like to know if the ipaq-kernel does actually
support alsa sound modules or do I have to download extra modules for it
etc etc ?

Thanks in advance.
