Unused bit in mapped resources which does not manipulated by OSes

Hi,

I would like to store (at least) 1 bit which does not used by neither
linux nor WM and available at boot time and after suspend also. I think
about a resource mapped into memory space. This should be available even
if the code running from flash and should not modified by suspend-resume
cycles.

Any idea?
