Flashing ROM and restoring

Hi Todd and others. Keep up the good work.

Pardon my ignorance, but there's nothing in the hx4700 manual on flashing
the ROM. Why will an SD work, but not CF?

Once your fantastic new rootfs card image is ready, will we be able to
boot Linux from CF and then use dd from a command line to back up the ROM
to the same CF card, or to a PC via RS232?

To restore Wince for any hardware warranty issues, will I need to purchase
an SD, or is it possible to flash the ROM some other way?

I won't be able to get you the fresh English image until early next week,
because I couldn't get the 4700 today as planned.
Do you have a large inbox? If all goes well as above, I can probably
upload it to a website on Tuesday. Perhaps someone else can get it for
you sooner.
