Ok,

I have another update on the serial cable, I have it working now with the
linux kernel.
After reading through some of the source, namely hx4700.c, I noted that you
are checking for DCD before enabling the serial port

so, to get this working I have had to wire the DCD wire so this additional
to below the following connection is required.

IPAQ connector -> DB9 Female
pin 6 -> s4 DCD

I am hoping to get my hands on some simply hello world like code that
contains
serial driver, and the necessary bootstrap stuff to load by itself and dump
hello world out the serial port.

does anyone have this kind of thing or know if there is anything around??

Regards,

Paul Solomon
