Well, I would be Brad's friend, and I'm looking into getting it working.

I'm looking to use as much of the existing work as possible, especially
the work done to integrate the various pieces.

Anyways, regarding the bounty: If I've got it working, great :) It'll
take some time though, as my time is limited all the same. I've started
work on integrating the code by Todd into the new framework, so I can
see what's actually going on. If and when I've got some code that does
anything, I'll put it online for others to take a peek at.
