Hi All,
Flashed my hx4700 yesterday with zImage-2.6.12-hh2+cvs20050903,
gpe-image-ipaq-pxa270-20050903140532.rootfs.jffs2, and homefs from current
opie kit. (Chris Drabasch's "how I did it" a great help, thanks.)
Works nicely and looks good, wince and grimace no longer :) A few little odd
errors I'm not bothered with just now.
My main problem is I am unable to mount CF and SD cards. (There seems to be
an earlier post on this by Chris Drabash, Oct 6, without reply.) I figured
using cards would be the easiest way to install some packages I want to
assess.
The CF appears to be an ide device /dev/hda1. Its fat16 formated, the same
one I used for flashing.
Trying to mount it (various options tried) all give "Invalid arguement" or
"no such device". I see various errors in dmesg log, for example, the
defaults options report 'Unrecognized mount option "user" or missing value'
when trying fat type.
The SD card appears to be /dev/mmcblk0p1 from /proc/partitions. Card is fat
formated too. Mounting this gives an error "Invalid arguement" again. The
dmesg log has an error "FAT: IO charset iso8859-1 not found". I have seen
this error with CF card with some options sets.
Am I missing something here?
Also I am ignorant, if someone could point me to how to establish a network
connection, say via usb port on the stand, that would help too.
Kevin
