Hello,

I was wondering if Familiar Linux images were available anywhere for the
HP iPAQ hx4700? The Supported Handheld Summary on handhelds.org lists
this model as having images that are "nearly ready".

I have gathered loads of information from all the disparate pages out
there on Linux and iPAQs, but some pointers to a usable image with a
fresh hx4700 would be great!

Thanks,
Stephen.

I recommend you try booting with haret. You can use Joseph Cole's kit
here: http://jcole.org/share/hx4700.zip. Just unzip it into the root of
your memory card and then (on the device) run Haret.exe. It's pretty
neat. That's if you just want to try it out. If you want to really use
it, try this:
http://sdgsystems.com/pub/ipaq/hx4700/starterkit/current
However, unfortunately the usability at this point is debatable as the
wifi doesn't work.

Excellent, thanks.

That's cool, we only want to really test software over Bluetooth for
just now.

Cheers,
S.
