power consumption

I haven't tried running it until the batteries drained yet as I need my PDA
for taking notes for work but how long will the batteries last under the
current kernel?

on my 2750 the screen on/off didnt work under linux and the batteries became
as warm as when running some cpu-intensive game under winCE as if the kernel
didnt halt the cpu and ran in a while(1); loop when idle for the few minutes
I tried it.

if that's the case the battery wouldn't last for 4 hours and I didnt dare try
it :P

also I didnt have any battery status.
