i had the same issue on my hx2410. the device froze where it was
supposed to set up the different locales. i have removed that part in
the image i created. try to replace the rootfs.img with the one you can
download at http://nw.distl.net/hx2410

of course this is just a wild guess of what could be happening. if this
doesn't help, a serial cable would be a good idea. on the console you
should see what is going on even if your display remains dark.
