Ack. And after recompiling with EABI support it now boots for me, too :-)

The problem I had with the mmcblk0p2 rootfs not being detected seemed
to be the root delay - it looks like asic3_mmc takes a little bit over one
second to recognize my sd card! I wonder what could be the reason for this
2.6.18 on the hx4700 and 2.6.19 on the magician need less than a tenth
of a second to parse the partition table.
