Hi.
The rootfs image includes only the module htcuniversal_acx (wifi) .
The rest Universal related drivers are compiled in to the kernel.
Before we had our own opie/gpe image we used the Blueangel one. The
only thing we did was to replace the modules.
I have also tried the HX4700 Opie/GPE image on my Universal with
installing my own modules, and it has worked.
Cr2 asked me yesterday if i could build a common image for the HTC
phone devices. And to manage that i had to catch the cpuinfo at boot
so it sorted out wich device it was booting, but i dont know how to do
it, i guess it is over my knowlegde of linux building.
But it would be great with a common zImage and a common opie/gpe image
for the devices.
I think there will be no problem using the rootfs image on other pxa
devices. Report back if you try.
