Running Haret 0.5 forces hard reset?

I am eager to run HaRET & join in development - old haret docs at xda for 03 mention that anytime I run haret "it wil crash on exit with a hard reset" - is this still true in any sense for 0.5? I have done many searches and the current hh.org docs do not mention a forced hard reset.
